Lauren has twenty-five years experience practicing architecture and over twelve years of teaching at the University level. Her tenure as Senior Vice President with Croxton Collaborative Architects PC in New York City, one of the pioneering "green architecture" firms in America, helped launch the art and practice of a new approach to design and construction: one that minimizes energy use, conserves resources, preserves and restores habitat, and eliminates much of the toxicity endemic to modern construction practices.

Lauren holds a bachelor of arts form Brown University, and a Master of Architecture degree from University of Virginia. She is licensed to practice architecture in Maine and New York.
